Good Men Project Dreams: Interviews with Entrepreneurs
Feb. 26, 2016
8:15 am – 9:30
Cross Campus 87 N. Raymond St. Pasadena, 91103
Admission is Free, but please register through MeetUp here.
“Good Men Project Dreams” will be both a live event and a digital video pilot produced for the web. Our goal is to capture the heart of the entrepreneurial mission in a series of short interviews with local entrepreneurs who want to change the world. Our desire is to capture the spirit of the start-up mission among courageous, innovative business leaders who can’t see themselves doing anything else but their chosen enterprise. They see their businesses as more than economic engines. They see what they are doing as having critical impact on the world and opportunities for real progress.
The interviews will be filmed in front of a live audience. The resulting videos will then become a part of our content library at The Good Men Project, where we are continuing our 5-year old mission of talking about the changing roles of men in the 21st century. The Good Men Project with its core audience of three million unique visitors per month, is led by CEO Lisa Hickey, who recently relocated to Pasadena from New York and now bases the company at Cross Campus in Old Pasadena, where the event will be held. We hope to offer our guests on the show access to a wider audience, and our audience a window into the soul of creativity and endurance.
Ken Goldstein is an author who has spoken twice before at Innovate Pasadena about mentorship and reinvention. Ken is on the board of Good Men Media, Inc. (operating company of The Good Men Project) and has served as CEO of SHOP.COM, EVP/Managing Director of Disney Online, and VP Entertainment & Education Products at Broderbund Software. In this initial episode, he will talk with three diverse individuals who have founded or co-founded exciting startups at various stages of development:
Alan Mittelman, CEO of Eagle Eyes
Aurora Cady, CEO of Rhino Bill and WaitNot
Yuval Selik, CEO of Promomash.com
Technology, business models, talent, and workplace culture are driving the lightspeed change in today’s world. Entrepreneurs like these are leading the way toward change and progress. These interviews seek to get at the passion of why people chose to build something new, no matter the hurdles, and why embracing a dream is a MUST among their life choices. We believe our first three guests are exemplary of the values we intend to celebrate. Should the pilot prove successful, our hope is to produce an ongoing series of interviews on a regular basis both within the Innovate Pasadena community and beyond our geography. Come join us for a unique kickoff and help us make this new show a big success for Innovate Pasadena and The Good Men Project.
