Who has inspired you to challenge the notions of being “manly” and “manhood” in your personal life, while at the same time inspiring you to be better in life? Was there a coach, teacher, writer, mentor, pastor, speaker, or parent who guided you towards a moment of enlightenment? What was the watershed moment for you in terms of dealing with gender, race, and identity biases and micro-aggressions?
When we talk about manhood and masculinity at the Good Men Project, we’re aiming to open the conversation to disassemble the old notions of Manning up, the Man Box, and all the stereotypes that go with it.
