”Through the ‘New Man MeetUp and GUYalogue.org, Mr. Luxor has been helping and continues to help to make a difference in the lives of men and boys by creating a ‘community of men’ who are addressing and creating solutions to ‘key areas of change’ which not just affect them as men, but also affects everyone that they are connected to – their co-workers, family members, loved ones and neighbors. We look forward to working with Mr. Luxor and welcome him to the USA International Men’s Day Team,” remarked D.A. Sears, the USA Coordinator for International Men’s Day, Chair of the USA International Men’s Day Ten Year Plan Committee, and member of the International Men’s Day Coordination Committee where she represents the United States.

This year’s International Men’s Day theme – “Make A Difference for Men and Boys” – is designed to help more people consider what action we can all take to “Make A Difference” by addressing some of the issues that affect Men and Boys all over the world such as men’s shorter life expectancy, the high male suicide rate, our collective tolerance of violence against men and boys, and the struggles that boys can face in getting an education and the unique challenges of father-child relationships.
On International Men’s Day – Thursday, 19 November 2015,institutions, organizations, and individuals throughout our global village are encouraged to find ways to MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR MEN AND BOYS that reflect the Six Pillars of International Men’s Day which means:
- Making A Difference by promoting positive male role models
- Making A Difference by celebrating Men and Boys’ positive contributions
- Making A Difference by focusing on Men and Boys health and wellbeing
- Making A Difference by highlighting discrimination against Men and Boys
- Making A Difference by taking action to improve gender relations and improve gender equality
- Making A Difference by taking action to create a safer, better world for everyone
