If there’s one song that’s endured in the viral marketplace over the last six months, it’s Pharrell’s “Happy.” And if there’s one person who knows how to turn celebrities into sobbing messes, it’s Oprah.
Pharrell was a guest on Oprah’s OWN talk show, Oprah Prime, and the two spoke about the success of the song, as well as his childhood and his grandmother. With Pharrell and his Vivienne Westwood hat already emotionally primed, Oprah showed him a montage of fan-made “Happy” videos, documenting people across the world dancing to his song. Afterward, Pharrell tears up and can’t speak for about a minute.
“Why am I crying on Oprah?” he asks.
Because when Oprah says, “Can we roll the tape of that,” your tears are going to be released from eye jail.

Your title for this piece is “Oprah makes Pharrell cry after showing him “Happy” fan videos. As part of your project you must realize that Oprah did not “MAKE” Pharrell cry. She showed him a video and he cried. I think it’s important to take responsibility for our feelings and actions starting with the headlines.
Pharrell wears fur, even though animal activists many times told him that fur is derived from skinned alive, anally electrocuted, intelligent animals who are able to feel emotions, form bonds and be amazingly intuitive.
On top of it he makes sexist videos and calls female vagina as “silver lining”….it’s pathetic that his image “crying” for cheap TV rating is everywhere. Boycott Pharrell until he stops wearing fur and portraying women as sluts in his videos.
What’s wrong with calling vaginas a silver lining?
