Imagination reigns supreme in the mind of a boy.

As a kid growing up in Gresham, Oregon in the ’70s, the thing that scared me most was home invasion murders by whacked out hippies, the mafia, demonic possession, and the definite probability that Apes would take over the world after some catastrophic event.
I felt powerless to stop them all. I had seen the movies and the TV shows. They were all above the law and didn’t give a shit who got in their way.
Sleeping with the blankets pulled over my head, with a only a breathing hole to pull in the night air, sleeping flat as possible so as to not be detected. No mob boss, Charles Manson freak, Satan worshipping monkey brains were gonna find me with my guard down.
