It doesn’t matter what you do for income, or if you are unemployed, you need to first understand and grasp your own worth.
I have had people tell me working for myself is a scam. I have had people tell me that I am not worth what I charge my clients.

Have you ever dealt with this?
How do you respond?
Here’s how I respond.
….(Crickets)….I don’t give my time to people who don’t realize my value as a person, or the services I offer, and neither should you!

If you are working for a company and you are happy, then good for you! You have obviously found your “why”. You have found the thing that motivates you. But, dear readers, please allow me to issue a caution against complacency.
It doesn’t matter what you do for income, or if you are unemployed, you need to first understand and grasp your own worth. You are a unique individual with great potential for success.
There’s one thing standing between you and the success you desire, even if that desire is buried deep under disappointment, disbelief, and discouragement. There’s one thing standing between where you are right now and where you dream of being in life.

The one thing you need to find, the one question you need to answer before you set your goals for 2016, is discovering your why.
Why do you want to lose X number of pounds?
Why do you want to earn more money?
Why do you want to graduate from college?
Why do you want to find another career?
You see, the answer to the ever fleeting question of “what motivates me” isn’t found in making more money or even building a more sustainable business. The answer is in my why.
We don’t hustle and work to get more “stuff”, but before we begin, we need to answer our own “why”!
|
When you can define your why, the rest of the work will come naturally, like water released from a dam. When you define your why, you won’t have to rely on someone else to motivate you to work more hours, because you will have found your own motivation.
It’s not about getting more stuff, that’s not why we work to make more money. I mean, really, if you had double the income you have right now, what would be different? Acquiring more things is certainly not the answer. It doesn’t satisfy. More stuff will never satisfy our internal desire for contentment and peace.
In parting, if you are planning for the new year goals, answer this first: Why?
Today is a new day, my friend. The opportunities for you to experience success in a wild way, is more than possible. But why?
