13 year old Xavier believes a continued culture of kindness as a part of daily life can help with violence in adults

As a kid one of the things I have a hard time seeing is how mean kids can be to each other. Some people say kids are just that way and they grow out of it eventually. If that were true, then why would there still be so many mean adults? I know there are some people who have mental illness but not everyone has a mental condition. I’m sad to say, some people just have mean behavior because no one bothered to teach them any different or deal with them when they were mean as kids. A lot of parents are really busy working and doing things to take care of their families but like my mom they should really make an extra effort to make sure they are teaching kindness at home. Every day I’m around kids who are not so nice, but I learned that does not give me an excuse to be the same. I think the world would be a better place and we would have less violence if kindness clubs like the one in this school existed in all school including high school and ALL kids were required to be part of them.
Congratulations everyone at Jefferson. I think you guys are wonderful!
Kindness makes the world a better place and you guys are leading the way! Thank you!
