As Father’s Day approaches, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay wants to thank all the men who help mentor kids.
Dear Good Men,
Sure, it’s called “Father’s Day”, and what we do is different from what fathers do. But it’s the perfect day to honor and thank all the men in our lives who showed us the kind of person we wanted to grow up to be. For a lot of Little Brothers in our program—and many, many boys throughout our community—that man is YOU.
We thought we’d tell you that while you’re having pizza after shooting hoops together, there’s a boy who treasures the time you set aside just for him.
We thought you should know that all those stories you tell him about your crazy travels, your job and going to college are now goals he is determined to reach.
We hope you know that your willingness to spend time with a child makes him realize he’s worth spending time with.
Your simple acts of friendship are making a difference in families and communities that will last forever. On behalf of our entire community, we thank you for a new generation of boys growing up to be just like you.
Sincerely,
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay
