Eat Stuff with Pitts = Look Like Brad Pitt

Jamie Reidy discusses a new study linking the consumption of fruits and vegetables with attractiveness.

Kim Carollo’s ABC News story about a new study published in the journal PLoS ONE nearly made me spill my Cheetos.

That’s because the yellow-red pigments found in fruits and vegetables, called carotenoids, are associated with changes in skin color, the authors found.  They also found that the skin pigment changes may be viewed as healthier and more attractive.

Now THAT is the way to get guys to adopt any healthy habits.

Don’t tell us it’s good for us, don’t tell us it’ll extend our lifespan, don’t tell us it’s beneficial for Earth; just tell us we might get laid more.

If eating fruits and veggies can really make me more handsome, I’m giving my landlord notice and moving into a Farmer’s Market STAT. (Somehow, I think fruit baskets might start arriving at my door, courtesy of my “friends.”)

Are you buying this study or not?

Often times, this saying is true: “you are, what you eat”. They needed a study for this? :)
