Last year on the 30th of July. It was the night of my going away party before I moved to Canada for the bike and ski seasons on the 1st of August. Ended up back at my best mates place with his gf’s bestfriend. Now I had had a thing for this cute little blonde for quite a while and we had always got along really well but nothing sexual had taken place until this night.
Things got hot and heavy and it became apparent where it was leading but I ended up saying no because I was kinda worried how it would effect the friendship with me leaving Sydney a day later.
Whether it was a good decision or not I’m unsure haha, especially now she is 6 months into a new relationship. Live and learn I guess!
Last sunday.
My ex-gf and I met because we were considering getting back together. Despite this, she was closed and aloof, so nothing physical happened.
On sunday afternoon, we were on the couch and we began cuddling; in a short time the situation got “hot”, but she had a train to take, so we had just some kissing before leaving for the train station.
Regrets? No.
We were together for 48 hours, and she loosened just in the last hour? WTF?
Next time, make up your mind first. At 50 years old, one should know what she wants. 8)
Perhaps that’s all she wanted. It’s a fairly common strategy – if you don’t trust yourself to keep to your own limits you can ensure there’s a hard time limit to ensure you don’t make any “mistakes.”
1980. I think it was the summertime. I had to go to work.
On my birthday about five months ago..boy I’d been seeing for a while had problems getting it up. Serious problems. We’d been dating for about six months and at the beginning, had sex a couple of times. It had started with a hookup, you know, the college style. Then as we got to know one another and opened up to one another, he learned about my commitment issues, and my daddy issues. He told me that I was all he thought about, and he wanted to be with me all of the time. I told him I just wanted sex, man! Come on, not looking for a relationship! I think after that conversation, we tried to have sex about seven or eight times, but he either couldn’t get it up, or couldn’t come. So, on my 22nd birthday, wine and many shots led me into his bed. Unfortunately, birthday sex was not on my horizon.
What counts as almost? Every “maybe” she answers when I proposition my wife? That time we both wanted to, but fell asleep kissing? Or is it whenever I feel that flutter in my chest, when I glance at her walking up the stairs and my instinct is to follow?

to me, it sounds like “Any time the guy thought ‘Yes!’, he believed it could happen, but she said ‘No’”.
(ok, it might happen with gender reversed, but it sounds much less likely

Well, I wasn’t counting the times she says “no” as it’s pretty clear that “almost” doesn’t fit that situation.
Of course.
But I was thinking about the situations when we believe it could be a “Perhaps”, and only later we discover it’s actually a “No”. Just kidding.
When: In high school the one time I was with a man.
Why almost? Because I was in high school, and it was with a man.

Does it count the times when we have a date set up and some unforeseen and unavoidable event forces us to cancel? If so, two weeks ago.
It was about three weeks ago. I had only been seeing this girl briefly but we had one of those supernatural type connections of parallel but discrete histories. Things mobilized and came to the level of nudity when she decided she wanted something more sincere, so I backed off. This is the awful part, she wanted me to stay in any case, but, I live in a historic home with poor climate control, I have a dog with poor climate control, and it was 20 degrees outside. I wasn’t sure I had turned the heat on for the dog so I insisted on going home to check on him. Two weeks later we broke up, c’est la vie.
