Open Discussion:
We all know that there are as many different forms of masculinity as there are different men.
But there are some men who seem to embody what is great about masculinity, as we see it.
Who is that man to you?
(You’re obviously not limited to choosing from the people who’s photos are shown here!)

Chuck Norris- if you get the same updates on FB that i do from my youngest son…
Plus Norris doesn’t look like Joan Rivers’ plastic surgeons’ experiments as do the other old timers in the Expendables2….
(Rated a 2 on the DD movie must list, no horses or frontal nudity)
Russell Simmons, for being a self-made cultural entrepreneur, co-founding what is arguably the most important hip-hop label in American musical history, Def Jam; for having stood up for LGBT rights and recently marriage equality, long before it was fashionable; for advocating giving as a lifestyle and as a way of measuring success; for emphasizing spirituality over materialism; for having done it all as a married Black man with grace, wisdom and eloquence.
Samuel L Jackson
“What?!”
“Say what again MF%^$^ I dare you”
Need we any more proof?
Seriously though he is a very level headed man with many facets beyond his movies. Better than looking up to anyone from twilight that’s for sure.

I’m not one to comment on the ideal of masculinity, as a woman, but I can say this:
Bobby Brown?!?!!?
I don’t know what this ideal of masculinity thing is or why you think some men embody what is “great” within masculinity. I think that certain figures are more evocative of how the concept of masculinity is tenuous and burdened with contradiction.
