France’s ex-justice minister, Rachida Dati, had an embarrassing slip of tongue in an interview this morning when she mixed up the words “fellatio” and “inflation.”
Dati, who is now a member of parliament, told Canal Plus that “I see some [foreign investment funds] looking for returns of 20 or 25 percent at a time when fellatio is close to zero.” (Hopefully that doesn’t happen any time soon…)
In Dati’s defense, “fellation,” the French word for fellatio, sounds a lot like the word “inflation.” She’s since laughed the incident off, saying she should probably just speak less quickly.
