    Oh, hell yeah. There’s no debate about that. Guys masturbate ten times a day, or spend the family dollar on proistitutes compulsively. Or spend the night in a tree, hoping to see a woman in the shower. 12-step programs work well with this.

    The problem is when the anti-addiction people become anti-erotic (sort of like one side of feminism’s anti-eroticism.) They get damn puritanical, which is the reverse face of the problem.

    Ant-sex is actually the new McCarthyism, if you haven’t noticed. It’s ironically “personal, not political.” (It conveniently [for the rich] precludes political activity.) Sexual harrassment is misconstrued to mean looking at anyone for too long, or asking anyone at work for a date. Child molestation is a real problem, but it’s been turned into a moral panic where people think it’s everywhere and won’t even let kids play freely, turning them in turn into the type of robo-yups there parents are, due to helicoptering.
