Sean Swaby has a dysfunctional relationship with his Monday mornings.
___
I don’t know about you, but Mondays are not my favorite day. I like Thursdays, mostly because they are right next to Friday. Thursday is a day of potential, but Monday is a day of recovery.
I’m not a big drinker, but it seems that Monday’s we get back to normal living, normal sleep patterns and normal eating. Depending on how I have slept or eaten on the weekend, Mondays can feel like a near-write off.
Some Mondays can feel just like this video.
Here is a short summary of what happens for me on most Mondays:
- Cloudy mindedness
- Rolling down the stairs
- Walking in circles
- Coffee seeking
- Mass distraction
- Carb fixation
- Screen staring
- Pretty much a Zombie for most of the day
On a more optimistic day, I wrote this post about how you should hug your Mondays. I invite you to read it on a Wednesday or Thursday. I have learned that if you read something important too early in the week, it won’t register. Works for me, just thought I’d share it with you.
