Matic Lee, "Fast As You Can"
There is so much going on in this track that it's easy to get lost in it. That's not such a bad thing. The lyrics are rapid fire and populated with some decent social commentary and, of course, the Fiona Apple rip is great on it's own. If you don't grab everything the first time around, definitely give it another listen. It's very much worth hearing what Matic Lee is saying. We rock with this one heavy.
Wiley, Flowdan, Riko + Manga, "F' Off"
Whoa-ho-ho, Nelly! "F' Off" is some ol' dusty foot Papa Shango witch doctor bone shaker ish. This might be what Idris Elba's birth sounded like. That would explain why women go buck nutty for the UK's best pretend drug dealer. We're not sure if we should jump up to dance or punch a hole through a Djembe. This joint is EPIC! Roll Deep crew is still the illest no matter "Wot U Call It."
BJ the Chicago Kid feat. Kendrick Lamar, "His Pain"
Totally switching gears here. "His Pain" is definitely on the opposite end of the emotional spectrum of the previous track. Kendrick Lamar is one of the hottest talents on the independent scene right now and this track is a fine example of why that is. The raw emotion captured on this recording is HEAVY. Fantastic story telling and delivery by Kendrick and then BJ cleans up to a briefly drum laced bridge that's audiogasmic. Brace yourself for this one. If you're sensitive, we wouldn't advise you to listen to this somewhere you'd be embarrassed to cry.
