What does a Good Leader look like?
From the energetic pep talks to the quiet pats on the back, there’s nothing as irreplaceable in our lives as good leadership and mentorship.
Great leaders mark our lives with moments where we deeply and unreasonably feel our team could do something bigger than the sum of our parts. We tune in on Sundays to watch Peyton Manning and Drew Brees lead their teams. We line up to feel the hope that great mentors portray on the big screen. Our most venerable monuments are dedicated to leaders of virtue like Jefferson, Lincoln, and Washington.
We love great leaders and mentors because they remind us that it’s really not about ego, it’s about that precious moment when integrity is on the line and redemption is within reach. In my opinion we feel this connection to great leaders because they personify the leadership qualities that often lie latent but are always present within us. Our best leaders are mirrors into our goodness.

After leading men through 150+ personal development workshops, I’ve seen three powerful trends emerge: 1. With practice everyone is capable of leading well, 2. Peer mentorship is highly empowering and effective as a personal and professional development method, and 3. The more we learn about leadership, the closer we get to world peace. In fact, research shows that leadership and mentorship training has proven to be the most effective method to decrease sexism, racism, and general xenophobia among men.
With that in mind, I’m looking for stories, interviews, advice, and tips that help us do well and do good in gender-dynamic leadership and mentorship.
