What makes a man? Well, how about this:
From the mental man caves of filmmakers Josh and Robi Levy, we present Masculathon, a new comedy Web series that follows the trials and tribulations of 11 men, all competing to become The Man. That is, the motorcycle-straddling, cigar-munching, bandanna-wearing head honcho of this band of “average men” who will pass on the skull crest of ultimate male-dom.
A parody of hyper-masculinized shows like Deadliest Warrior and Man vs. Wild, the webisodes air on Thursdays, with video-pearls of wisdom, dubbed “Mantras,” interspersed. (Watch them here and here). There’s only been one episode so far (embedded below) but if it’s anything to go by, we’ll be sticking around for the rest of the series. In fact, we’ll be posting them here on the blog every week.
In the meantime, check ’em out on their website or on Facebook. And here’s episode one: Eat Fist and Die.
Thanks for the amazing post! Robi and I and all the Masculetes are thrilled to be part of the Project. In fact, The Man just ate 43 pinecones and wrestled a bear in celebration!
