We read your mind, didn’t we? What else would you be thinking at 4:30 p.m. on a Wednesday?
Nearly 100 volunteers flew into D.C. on Black Friday to help decorate the White House. The tree, measuring in at 18.5 feet high and 13 feet wide, came from Pennsylvania. It took four and a half days to decorate.
The First Family is dreaming of a green Christmas: the majority of the ornaments on the tree and directions around the White House are made of reusable materials, such as wood and newspaper.
Even so, the decked-out Blue Room and the lighting ceremony December 9 “will no doubt leave Obama critics with sharpened knives,” says the Daily Mail.
Insert cynical remark about our taxpayer dollars and the White House’s priorities.
