Let’s face it: it’s a tough job market out there. But never fear! The folks over at LinkedIn have kindly provided us with the magic keywords that will have you hired in no time.
Okay, not really. But the LinkedIn blog has compiled 2010′s most overused buzzwords from their users’ profiles. Here are the U.S. results:
It’s noteworthy that while people from the U.S., Canada, and Australia are big on emphasizing their “extensive experience,” Brazilians, Indians, and Spaniards are more intent on representing themselves as “dynamic.” In contrast, most of Europe favores “innovative” as their top descriptor (except for the UK ,which prefers “motivated”).
To remedy this problem, LinkedIn suggests their résumé makeover workshop. If you ask me, different people and jobs require personalized approaches to a profile that only the individual can really determine.
But, then again, I’m just a dynamic, innovative, results-oriented team player with a proven track record and extensive experience, who’s motivated to solve your entrepreneurial problems at a fast pace.
