As someone who proposed to his wife by slipping the engagement ring into the Scrabble bag and writing “Marry Me” on the board, I probably won’t ever be cited in a study of the Most Macho Ways to Propose Marriage. But what can I say, the board game has always be a central part of our relationship, so it seemed like a good way to personalize a major moment in our lives. Bryan “The Beast” Baker had a similar sentiment in mind when he knocked out former UFC champion Joe Riggs on Saturday and followed that by dropping to a knee in the middle of the ring and proposing to his girlfriend.

You gotta love how he tells her, “This is your cage as well as mine. Your cage tonight, baby girl.” Now that’s romantic. Here’s the full video:
