Ozy Frantz is a student at a well-respected Hippie College in the United States. Zie bases most of zir life decisions on Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, and identifies more closely with Pinkie Pie than is probably necessary. 1. How can we simultaneously honour veterans while saying that war is entirely pointless? To wit, if war is really something without merits, can we really view those who involve themselves in it as worthy of “honour”? It seems that for somebody who is truly anti-war (as opposed to anti certain particular wars) the best thing you can view a veteran is as a tragic victim*, not a hero who must be honoured.

*And that’s presuming he didn’t kill anybody else.

  2. Thank you for posting “Dulce et Decorum Est.” it’s possibly the best anti war poem ever.
