Tell Your Story: What Have You Overcome?

Strength in Story is looking for men’s stories of adversity and recovery.

Strength in Story is a collaborative, participatory project to bring together a wide variety of stories from ordinary people about how they have overcome the odds, faced adversity, and recovered from loss. The project’s executive director is actively seeking men to participate.

The video can be of anything you want: your narration of a story over pictures or artwork on the theme. It can include music. It could be just you, talking right into your computer camera. Yours can be as simple, creative, deep, or light hearted as you are.

Make a video about a major challenge that you have faced, and submit it to Strength in Story via their website. Submissions received by September 28, 2012 will be included in Survivors’ Truths’ Social Media Week 2012 video contest. The Strength in Story video which is shared most from the Survivors’ Truths website between September 24  and 29th will be the contest winner and will be featured on Survivors’ Truths home page and promoted through their social media channels.
