They have to win. I hate Philly.
You may or may not remember that I announced last week that I was growing a playoff beard for the NHL playoffs. I said that as long as either the LA Kings (the team I grew up watching), Anaheim Ducks (the team I covered for 8 seasons as a member of the media) or the Buffalo Sabres (the team where I currently reside) are in the playoffs, I will keep growing this thing out.
I decided to make the beard a goatee. Why? Because bald guys with full beards look stupid. That’s why. So far it’s going OK. There’s a little more grey than I thought there would be, but I can deal with that. As of Friday afternoon here is how it looks:
The Ducks--They are tied at two with Nashville and I think can hold on and win this series.
The Kings–They trail the Sharks 3-1, but the Sharks always choke in the playoffs, so I’m hopeful. Not optimistic, but hopeful.
The Sabres–Like the Ducks, they’re tied at 2 with the evil Philadelphia Flyers. They have to win. I hate Philly.
I also hate taking pictures of myself, so I apologize for the look on my face in this one. I’m wearing my Kings jersey and Ducks hat in this picture. In case you were wondering.
Happy Easter. Or Passover. Whichever you celebrate.
Good points
The goatee is a good look (especially with the grey)! As a good Montreal girl, Les Canadiens have my heart and, if I was a dude, I would totally grow a playoff beard!
I guess we will see if my Preds have a chance. After the last game I’m not so sure. Even if that was to tie the series up, that was an impressive win by the Ducks.
the gray is distinguished!
(and sexy too, so go with it…)
