How old is too old
and
how young is too young?
Age is just a number, but numbers are also an important part of math and you can’t do the math if the numbers don’t add up. Not only is this one of the greatest sentences I’ll ever write, it’s also the truth. More often than not, age does matter when it comes to having a successful relationship. While there are many examples that prove otherwise, they are still the exceptions, not the rule.
Which is why most, if not all, online dating sites allow you to choose the age range of the people it matches you up with. The question is, what is (or would be for those of you who have never set up such a profile) the age range you’re most comfortable with?
For me, it’s a decade on both sides, which means 28 to 48. Based on experience, I find that I can comfortably relate with many folks in this 20-year range, but start to see signs of strain once I venture out beyond it. Is yours more open or more restrictive? Or are you only interested in people in one specific age group?
Well, let’s review. When I was 22, my guy was 52. There is no set number, it is all in the attitude.
