What’s the simplest
skill you haven’t
mastered?
Recently I’ve started stepping it up with my wardrobe at work, but one thing is hindering my swag–I can’t figure out how to tie a frikkin’ necktie for the life of me. I’ve watched every single YouTube video on the subject (and there are A LOT of them), but the mystery of the freakin’ Windsor Knot is apparently beyond me. But then I’ve never been good at tying or folding or things. I could never put together a paper airplane to save my life, much less one that glided with grace across an entire schoolroom.
I know I’ll get it eventually, but it definitely isn’t coming to me as easily as it should.
Can you relate? Is their a simple everyday skill you’re embarrassed to admit has thus far succeeded in kicking your ass? What is it? We promise we won’t tell anyone!
UPDATE: After I hit publish on this post last night, I decided to give the whole necktie business another try and somehow–for the first time ever–it clicked. As I write this now, I find myself wearing a tie I tied myself, JUST LIKE A BIG BOY!
