Yes
or
no?
Starting tomorrow–and for the rest of your life–whenever you are asked a “Yes or No” question, you will only be able to answer with the option you choose right now, regardless of how you actually feel. So, if you choose “Yes”, the following exchange could occur:
“Do I look like an idiot to you?”
“Yes.”
“Do you want me to kick your ass?”
“Yes.”
“Is there something wrong with you?”
“Yes.”
And if you choose “No”, this could happen:
“Your daughter is so smart! Aren’t you proud of her?”
“No.”
“How can you say that? Don’t you love her?”
“No.”
“Is there something wrong with you?”
“No.”
Both situations could lead to disaster at any given moment, but chances are choosing “Yes” will allow you to enjoy many experiences you might otherwise miss out on, while choosing “No” will keep you safer, but will also probably ensure that you have a lot less opportunities and remain isolated.
Knowing this, which one would you pick?
