An inside source came to Komplicated with a piece of information that was hard to believe …
I'll tell something I wasn't suppose to know … the new GL of Earth … Sinestro. I just don't know if it's in Aftermath or Reboot …
This was after noting a super-secret new Green Lantern-themed action figure (not the one shown here, admittedly … or is it?) that was being talked about but not shown in some arenas. We put out a query to DC's Twitter account and we'll advise if they respond.
Given the hatred many Earth-based heroes have for him (at Culver City's Comics Ink, the character is routinely called "Space Hitler"), it's an interesting choice for him to try his hand at terrestrial heroism. No mention is made how he'll split the role with the four humans already representing Earth and sector 2814, but if they try to transfer John Stewart to the lost sector, we will be up in arms.
Also: first person who claims that this is a "person of color" getting another role will be forced to have a romantic sleepover with Kilowog.

I concur — the idea of Thaal Sinestro following anybody’s orders anymore makes zero sense. Does that mean the Sinestro Corps doesn’t exist? Will it be renamed? The lunacy of it makes my head hurt.
My thing is: why would Sinestro want to follow the lead of the Guardians again? I thought he chafed at their orders? That, and his control issues: the man named his own corps the “Sinestro Corps”, for Pete’s sake! The only orders he can stand are the ones out of his own mind and destiny.
