As I’m prepping to cover ToyFair 2017 I got wind of an exciting new product —FollowGrams, a smart projector that teaches kids how to draw by pairing an app on their mobile devices with its projector.
FollowGrams has launched a Kickstarter project. The project seeks to raise $20,000 or more before it expires March 17, 2017 and is already just about halfway to its goal. I am scheduling an appointment at Toy Fair Booth #3219 to see a demo of this tech-enabled art toy!
As you saw in the demo, kids can turn any picture, even a photo they take of their dog or family member or anything else, into a traceable image by instantly projecting it on paper with the FollowGrams app. It’s almost “magic” how it teaches kids to draw, and better yet, it’s a great tech tool for teaching kids to draw their letters and numbers too! FollowGrams features unique step-by-step controls for functionality.
Backers of the Kick- starter project will be the first to get their FollowGram projector in the U.S., and will be shipped in July. They also will save off the retail price. In the future, the company plans to add features for Spelling, Programming Basics, Advanced Drawings, and more educational games. Pledge options range from Supporter to Classroom Educational Pack.
Share this interesting project and consider backing it! Follow the company’s social media pages on Facebook and Twitter to track FollowGrams’ progress!
