‘Welcome to the Jungle’ Takes viewers into this deadly jungle
I was a big fan of the first Jumanji. Like most people I wasn’t too excited when Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was announced. Yet it was better than I expected it to be. I was lucky to get a review copy and this is my thoughts on it.
You can read the plot for Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle here:
Four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game’s jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji – you must survive it. To beat the game and return to the real world, they’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves – or they’ll be stuck in the game forever.
It was a joy watching Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle again. The main cast play roles outside of their comfort zones, and it made for lots of funny moments. I loved all the video game jokes, they always made me laugh. ‘Journey Through the Jungle: The Making of Jumanji’ takes viewers deep into many aspects of how this movie came to life. ‘Meet the Players: A Heroic Cast’ tells how they each heard of this project, the process of getting their roles just right and all the fun they had working on this film.
