Kubo and the Two Strings weaves an amazing tapestry of a story
I am a huge fan of Laika’s films. Somehow they keep finding ways to tell amazing tales that are a true joy to watch unfold. Kubo and the Two Strings continues this tradition. It is by far their best film yet. I was able to obtain a review copy and here is what I thought of this DVD.
Here is the plot for Kubo and the Two Strings:
Young Kubo’s (Art Parkinson) peaceful existence comes crashing down when he accidentally summons a vengeful spirit from the past. Now on the run, Kubo joins forces with Monkey (Charlize Theron) and Beetle (Matthew McConaughey) to unlock a secret legacy. Armed with a magical instrument, Kubo must battle the Moon King (Ralph Fiennes) and other gods and monsters to save his family and solve the mystery of his fallen father, the greatest samurai warrior the world has ever known.
I really enjoyed watching this Kubo and the Two Strings DVD. “Kubo’s Journey” gives viewers on amazing behind the scenes view and into how they made this film a reality. In “Mythological Monsters” I was impressed with all the new techniques they used to bring these terrifying creatures to life. It is an amazing movie that most of the family will enjoy. There are some scary scenes so it may be best for little kids to miss this one. If you want to learn more about Kubo and the Two Strings head over to this website.
