Air Bound a movie that is full of powerful life lessons all ages can benefit from
Before I got offered a review copy, I had never heard of Air Bound. I was unfamiliar with the story so I pretty much accepted the request blindly. I only really wanted to see it because Jon Lovitz was in it. Yet once I sat down to watch it, I was pretty impressed. It may seem like a simple story but this movie is honestly so much more than that. Here is what I thought of this animated film.
You can read the plot for Air Bound here:
Dreaming of adventure, city mouse Gavin (Nash Grier) and his buddy Matthew (Jimmy Tatro) join a crew of Ship Mice ready to set sail — just as young Chester (Michelle Ruff) bursts in, pleading for help. Stowing away on a boat, the gang heads for Dream Island to defend Chester’s family of mice against Winston the White Weasel (Jon Lovitz) and his wicked weasel clan. But is their courage enough?
I had fun watching Air Bound. It has a good cast of characters, and a scary looking villain. Yet the best thing about this film is the special effects. The colors and textures really make this a beautiful looking movie. The story is a simple one but it was still a joy to watch it unfold. There are times when it is unclear how our heroes will win against such a powerful enemy. There is a ton of suspense, some drama and a few dashes of comedy. Overall it is a movie the whole family can sit down and enjoy together.
Air Bound comes out on DVD and Digital HD February 21, 2017.
