‘All I want for Christmas is You’ A tale kids will really enjoy
Each year a new batch of Christmas movies get made. Some of them become classics, while others end up flopping. When I heard of All I want for Christmas is You I was curious to check it out. I haven’t read the book, but I know the song. I was able to get a review copy and this is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for All I Want for Christmas is You here:
When little Mariah (Breanna Yde) sees a darling little puppy named “Princess” at the pet store, she suddenly knows exactly what she wants for Christmas. Before her Christmas wish can come true, she must prove that she can dog-sit her uncle’s dog, Jack, a scraggly rascal; in fact, the worst dog in the county! Jack turns Mariah and her family’s perfect holiday preparations upside down in hilarious ways. It wasn’t exactly the Christmas she wished for…it was more than she ever wanted.
All I Want for Christmas is You was a pretty good movie. It was kind of predictable at times though. I had a hunch how things were going to work out. Yet it was still a joy to see how things got to its predictable conclusion. The music was pretty good, and the animation was amazing. This was a bit of a different holiday movie, and that was not a bad thing. I can’t say it will be for everyone, but I think kids will really enjoy it.
