Prepare for fun in ‘Archibalds Next Big Thing’
I have been lucky to watch a number of Dreamworks animation shows. Trollhunters was amazing, and Epic Tales of Captain Underpants has been great so far. I will admit I knew very little about Archibalds Next Big Thing when I first started watching it. I was able to get screeners for season 1 and here is what I thought of them.
You can read the plot for Archibalds Next Big Thing season 1 here:
Follow the adventures of Archibald Strutter, a chicken who ‘yes-ands’ his way through life. Though living in the moment often leads him astray, Archibald always finds his way back home to an egg-shaped house he shares with his three siblings, Sage, Finley, and Loy, and his trusty sidekick, Bea.
A fresh comedy about the importance of being present and celebrating the journey, not just the destination. With each twist and turn, this gangly, happy chicken shows everyone around him how important it is to get out of your comfort zone and see the best in everyone and every situation.
I wasn’t that impressed with this show at first, but over time it did start to grow on me. The theme song is pretty catchy, and the songs on the episodes got better as this season progressed. Some of the stories were also really good and helped get me interested in many of the characters. I can’t say this will be a show for everyone, but I can see most people having fun watching it.
Archibalds Next Big Thing premieres tomorrow on Netflix.
