The ship faces a crisis on ‘An Embarrassment of Dooplers’
Last time on Star Trek: Lower Decks, Boimler and Rutheford learned a shocking secret about Mariner. It made them question everything about her and threw them for a loop. When they get asked to go on a mission with her they fear Mariner is going to do something awful. Once the mission takes a bad turn they decide to ask Mariner about what they heard. When they learn the truth Rutherford and Boimler feel bad. As the away team finds themselves in a tough spot Boimler and Rutherford come up with a way to save them all. Now the ship faces a serious crisis on ‘An Embarrassment of Dooplers’. I was able to watch this episode and here is what I thought about it.

Mariner and Boimler try to track down the location of a legendary Starfleet party while the bridge crew deals with an insecure alien diplomat
Mariner learns about a rocking Starfleet party coming up and asks Boimler for help with finding it on this episode. They wind up on a huge old space station, and it looks like Mariner has a history here. When they run into an old friend of hers they agree to help them find it, if they do a job for them first. When the job goes bad it turns out they are transporting more they thought they were and security isn’t happy about it. While this is going on things take a perilous turn after something happens to an alien diplomat on the USS Cerritos. After Mariner and Boimler finally reach the location of the party it turns out only one of them has an invite. Yet while Mariner sulks at a nearby bar Boimler does something that takes her by surprise. As this episode comes to a close things on the USS Cerritos finally return to normal.
