Often thought to be Seinfeld creator Larry David’s magnum opus, Curb Your Enthusiasm follows a fictionalized version of David himself, struggling with everyday annoyances and social interactions. David’s often-bumbling efforts to get through the day were often improvised, and guest stars (who also played fictional versions of themselves) were another critical highlight. The series premiered in 2000 on HBO and continued for eight seasons, picking up critical acclaim and various awards along the way. After going on indefinite hiatus in 2011, it seemed like David had shut the book on his most acclaimed project, but in June 2016, he confirmed that the show would be back in 2017. “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned,'” David announced. He finally made good on that promise over the weekend, with Curb Your Enthusiasm returning to HBO Sunday night. Social gave the first episode top marks at 79 percent positives. –Hugo Guzman
