Eight strangers end up in a cabin in the middle of nowhere and have to survive until the storm goes away
Quentin Tarantino is a director with a huge fan base. He is the one who has made films like Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol 1 and Vol 2, and most recently Django Unchained. Each of these movies are full of action, bloody violence and a story that is a blast to watch unfold. His newest film looks like it will be his best work yet and fans shouldn’t miss it.
One cold winter night in Wyoming John ‘The Hangman” Ruth (Kurt Russell) is escorting Daisy ‘The Prisoner’ Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) to Red Rock where she will face trial for murder. On their way they run into a bounty hunter named Major Marquis ‘The Bounty Hunter’ Warren (Samuel L. Jackson) and Chris ‘The Sheriff’ Mannix (Walter Goggins). A horrible blizzard forces these four people to take shelter in a stagecoach pass over for the night. It is here that they meet four more strangers and one of them is not who they say they are. It is the plan of John to get his prisoner to Red Rock in one piece so she gets the penalty she deserves for her crimes but in this place full of dangerous people this may not be an easy task. Who are these four strangers? Why are they at this place? How long will this blizzard last? And will any of them make it to Red Rock alive?
Tarantino is a one of a kind film maker. All of his films continue to push him to a new best and this one keeps that tradition going. There is the usual dangerous people who may or may not be killers and a goal that won’t be easily accomplished. The plot is very clever and this writer cannot wait to see this film when it comes out. The cast are a risky choice with only a few well known names but this has worked before for this director and therefore no quick judgement should be made on this picture just yet. It will no be something young kids should see but adults who enjoy a good violent film will not want to miss it.
If you are a fan of Tarantino you must run out and see this movie. If you and your friends want to see a good action packed film this is the one to see. It looks like Tarantino has done it again and fans should be very happy with the end result. Hateful Eight comes to theaters January 8,2016.
