‘Daddys Home 2’ Another poorly made holiday movie
I enjoyed Daddy’s Home when I saw it. Although it had some weak moments, overall it was an alright comedy. When I heard about Daddys Home 2, I was excited to see it. After seeing a few trailers, I was unsure if it would be good or not. I was able to see this film early, and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Daddys Home 2 here:
Father and stepfather, Dusty (Mark Wahlberg) and Brad (Will Ferrell) have joined forces to provide their kids with the perfect Christmas. Their newfound partnership is put to the test when Dusty’s old-school, macho Dad (Mel Gibson) and Brad’s ultra-affectionate and emotional Dad (John Lithgow) arrive just in time to throw the holiday into complete chaos.
Daddys Home 2 gets 3/10. I was not a fan of this movie. There were far too many ridiculous, over the top moments. They tried to get laughs from me, but failed horribly. The kids were not bad, and there were a few moments that got laughs. Yet they were few and far between. This is just another example of a sequel that never should have been made. It could have been good if done right, but this just isn’t the case. Some people may like it, but it isn’t a movie I would recommend seeing.
