This ruthless vigilante is back in ‘The Punisher’ season 2
I thought they did a great job introducing The Punisher in Daredevil season 2. It was a new take on this character, and Jon Bernthal played him like no one else could. When I heard a show was being made, I had hopes it would be good. Yet I wasn’t that impressed with season 1. News of a second season did kind of surprise me. I will admit the trailers gave me hope for it though. I was able to watch screeners of this season and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for The Punisher season 2 here:
Former marine-turned-vigilante Frank Castle has been living a quiet life on the road until he suddenly becomes embroiled in the attempted murder of a young girl. As he is drawn into the mystery surrounding her and those in pursuit of the information she holds, Castle attracts a new target on his back as new and old enemies force him to confront whether he should accept his destiny and embrace a life as The Punisher.
I had a great time watching The Punisher season 2. It was better than season 1 in many ways. It had a stronger villain, a better plot and pushed this character to his limits. This vigilante knew he couldn’t handle them alone so he had to have some help along the way. This season did start a bit slow, but after a few episodes went full throttle and rarely slowed down. If you liked last season then you are going to really like this one.
The Punisher season 2 is available now on Netflix. You can follow this show on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
