‘Designated Survivor’ Season 1 sets the stage for this show
I get to watch a lot of new shows these days. Each one takes me on a different journey. I had heard of Designated Survivor, but it didn’t look like a show I would like. Yet I finally decided to check it out. Here is what I thought of the first season of this show.
You can read the premise for Designated Survivor season 1 here:
Tom Kirkman, a lower-level cabinet member who is suddenly appointed President of the United States after a catastrophic attack on the U.S. Capitol during the State of the Union. In Season One of this dramatic thriller, Kirkman struggles to keep the country and his own family from falling apart, while navigating the highly-volatile political arena, all while leading the search to find who is responsible for the attack.
I enjoyed watching Designated Survivor season 1. The show starts with a bang, and things never slow down for a second. There is plenty of drama, but also some comedy thrown in to lighten the mood when necessary. ‘Designated Survivor Debrief’ reveals much of the work put into bringing this show to life. It tells viewers all the research put into this show, and how they wanted to make it as accurate as possible. ‘Secret Service Set Tour’ showed how pretty much all of the sets were built to scale, and also had plenty of stories of when much of the cast got to visit the real White House.
