See some unbelievable things on ‘The Umbrella Academy’ season 1
I have watched some pretty good superhero shows lately. Most of them are done rather well and do a great job telling tales not seen on the silver screen before. Yet I knew very little about The Umbrella Academy. It looked like it could be good though so I decided to check it out. I was able to get screeners for the first season of this show and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for The Umbrella Academy season 1 here:
On the same day in 1989, forty-three infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire industrialist, who creates The Umbrella Academy and prepares his “children” to save the world. But not everything went according to plan. In their teenage years, the family fractured and the team disbanded. Now, the six surviving thirty-something members reunite upon the news of Hargreeve’s passing. Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Vanya and Number Five work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father’s death. But the estranged family once again begins to come apart due to their divergent personalities and abilities, not to mention the imminent threat of a global apocalypse.
I really enjoyed watching The Umbrella Academy season 1. This season was full of mystery, and it was not always clear what was going to happen next. It stars a family full of faults and imperfections, but they all still love each other regardless of them. Ellen Page was amazing on this show, this was one of her best performances in a long time. Her character grew and developed into something I doubt many people will see coming. The soundtrack of this show was also wonderful with beautiful renditions of songs that amped up so many scenes to a whole new level. If you are in the mood for a different kind of superhero show then this is something you will want to check out.
The Umbrella Academy season 1 premieres tomorrow on Netflix. You can follow this show on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
