A family member is gone on ‘Goldberg’s Excellent Adventure’
I have watched a number of episodes of The Goldbergs and have enjoyed each one. The episodes based on famous 80’s movies have always been quite fun. The Karate Kid one was a touching homage to this classic film and had some good comedic moments. When I heard about ‘Goldberg’s Excellent Adventure’ I hoped I would get to watch it. I was able to get a screener for this episode and here is what I thought of it.

The season nine premiere revolves around the iconic ‘80s family paying tribute to Pops. Together they venture down memory lane by visiting Pops’ favorite stomping grounds. Adam Goldberg, forever with camera in hand, captures the outing – theming it to “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” Hijinks and hilarity ensue, and we are reminded that there is no bond greater than family.
The family could be doing better at the start of this episode. Once Murray finds a letter from Pops it joins this family together to fulfill a final request. Along the way the family meets some people close to Pops and may find some ways to grieve as well. Once the grieving begins this family is able to say goodbye to someone they all cared about. As this episode comes to a close Adam has some kinds words to say about a man he loved dearly.
The Goldbergs ‘Goldberg’s Excellent Adventure’ premieres tomorrow night at 8/7 c on ABC. You can follow this show on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
