‘Get Out’ A Chilling, Gripping, Edge of Your Seat Thriller

Get Out is unlike any thriller you have ever seen before

I was never much of a fan of Key and Peele. When I saw them in Keanu, I found myself not liking that film much. So when I heard about Get Out there was naturally a hesitancy to see it. When I got a pass to see it though I chose to check it out anyway. It was honestly nothing like I expected it to be. Here is what I thought of this thriller.

You can read the plot for Get Out here:

Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams), have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy and Dean. At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he never could have imagined.

I liked Get Out, but when it was over I was kind of confused too. The film goes slow at times, yet this is balanced with some intense moments. There are plenty of scenes that have that eerie tone to them yet they won’t always make sense at first. If you give this film an honest chance though it may surprise you. This film was nothing like I expected it to be, and this was not a bad thing. If you want to learn more about Get Out click on this website.

Get Out gets 7.5/10. This is a film with a lot of odd, sometimes very messed up scenes. The final moments get especially weird. Yet if you are looking for a different kind of thriller this is the film for you. It has a good cast, a nice score and throws some good twists as the plot moves along. This is not the best thriller I have seen lately, but it is definitely something out of the ordinary. It won’t be for everybody, but most people will probably enjoy it.

Get Out comes out this Friday. You can follow this film on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
