Hear a story about a dark hero in ‘Banjax Season 1’
I have read a good amount of graphic novels recently. Most of them star well known heroes and dastardly villains. Yet others have characters not as well known to me. Banjax Season 1 is one of those graphic novels. When I heard about it I thought it sounded pretty good. I was able to get a digital copy of this graphic novel and here is my thoughts on it.
You can read the plot for Banjax Season 1 here:
A disgraced, terminally ill former superhero launches a violent and misguided Death Wish-like campaign to purge the city of supervillains before he dies. His former protégé – currently the public’s point-and-wink superhero ideal – is tasked with bringing him in. The Rub? He isn’t remotely up to it.
This was not a bad graphic novel. It started a little slow at first, but got better as the story moved along. We get to see the glory days of this hero, and when he took in a new protege. There was also a fall from grace for them, and a diagnosis that fast forwarded their plans for this city. It is hard to say if this will be a graphic novel for everyone, but I think some people will enjoy it.
Banjax Season 1 comes out tomorrow. You can pre-order this graphic novel on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble.
