A hero does some awful things in ‘Injustice’
DC Entertainment has made some really good animated movies. Many times they bring popular graphic novels to life and they usually do them justice. Other times they tell original stories that can be a lot of fun to watch unfold. When I heard Injustice was being made I hoped I might get to watch it. I was able to get a review copy of this film and here is my thoughts on it.
You can read the plot for Injustice here:
This animated film finds an alternate world gone mad – where The Joker has duped Superman into killing Lois Lane, sending the Man of Steel on a deadly rampage. Unhinged, Superman decides to take control of the Earth for humanity’s own good. Determined to stop him, Batman creates a team of like-minded, freedom-fighting heroes. But when Super Heroes go to war, can the world survive?
A hero does something very bad at the start of this story. After they get tricked into killing someone close to them, it sends them on a rampage. Once they kill the person responsible they will never be the same. This sets them on a path where they want to achieve peace, no matter the cost. The Justice League gets divided over this announcement and some agree this hero needs to be stopped. Yet as things get worse it seems there may not be a way to stop this hero in time. This might not be a movie for everyone but I really enjoyed it.
Injustice is available now on 4K Ultra HD combo pack, Blu-Ray and Digital.
