The Cult Horror Classic ‘The Evil Dead’ is Coming to 4K Ultra HD

The chilling tale ‘The Evil Dead’ is Coming to 4K Ultra HD

I really enjoyed Ash Vs Evil Dead. It was a violent show, but one that I really found to be quite good. So it may come as a surprise when I say I have never watched any of The Evil Dead movies before. I have heard good things about them, just never took the time to see them. When I heard The Evil Dead was coming to 4K Ultra HD, I decided to give this film a chance. I was able to get a review copy and this is what I thought of it.

You can read the plot for The Evil Dead here:

More than 35 years ago, a low-budget horror movie roared across movie screens and changed the velocity of fear forever — and made a cult legend out of Bruce Campbell in his iconic role as the lethal, wisecracking Ash Williams. Now, for the first time, you can experience the ferocious ingenuity, relentless shocks, and gore-gushing havoc of the original Sam Raimi masterpiece in 4K!

I have to say I wasn’t that impressed by The Evil Dead. It was clearly low budget, the effects were cheesy and the movie was rather predictable. It was nice to see where Bruce Campbell’s career began, and this film had a few good moments. Yet for me they were few and far between. I do want to see the other films now though, hopefully they are better than this one. I can see some people enjoying it, but I wouldn’t really recommend it.

The Evil Dead is available on 4K Ultra HD combo pack, Blu-Ray and Digital now.
