The Good Men Project

‘Ice Age Collision Course’ Another Grand Adventure

I have liked all of the Ice Age films so far. I have to admit though when I heard another one was being made I was unsure how they would do it. I also wondered not only if it was necessary but if it would be any good. Ice Age Collision Course is the next chapter in the series where the stakes are high and the threat is greater than anything the gang has ever faced before. I was able to see this film last weekend and here is my opinion of it.

Here is the plot for Ice Age Collision Course:

Scrat’s epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World. To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego, and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, travelling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colorful new characters.

I really liked Ice Age Collision Course. It is the fifth film in the series but it still finds ways to be fun and exciting. There are the familiar characters fans know together again to save the world. There are also a few new faces added which add to the humor and gives a new feel to this movie that makes it one fans will want to see. The special effects are amazing and the 3D really makes scenes jump right off the screen. The cast comes together again and they all do a splendid job voicing their characters. I really liked hearing Simon Pegg come back to voice Buck. He is one of the rocks that gets this film started and keeps things moving when everything may look bleak. Ice Age Collision Course has a clever ending that won’t be easy to see coming. Overall this is a great addition to the series and has something for everybody to enjoy. Ice Age Collision Course gets 8/10. It does a great job of taking a dire situation and keeping it fun and entertaining. There are plenty of scenes with Scrat although they felt a bit excessive to me sometimes. The humor has some childish moments but don’t fret there are plenty of clever jokes that everyone will find funny. Many of the characters are at a point in their lives where big changes are coming yet these emotions and feelings come off as genuine which really helps viewers sympathize with them. It has the potential to do well this weekend and is another film you can take the whole family to see.

People who liked the previous Ice Age movies will definitely want to see this one. Parents unsure what to see this weekend with their kids should check this film out. Ice Age Collision Course comes out this Friday. You can follow Ice Age Collision Course on Facebook and Twitter.
