‘Isle of Dogs’ One of Wes Anderson’s best movies in years
I can’t say I am a huge Wes Anderson fan. He has made some great films, but I haven’t liked all of them. So when I first heard of Isle of Dogs I was cautiously optimistic. I liked the trailers, but was unsure if I would like it or not. I was able to see it early and this is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Isle of Dogs here:
A movie that tells the story of ATARI KOBAYASHI, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.
Isle of Dogs gets 10/10. I really enjoyed this movie. I loved the story, the characters, the animation was breathtaking and the films itself was just perfect. This is the best Wes Anderson movie I have seen in years. It had some great twists and turns and was happy to fool you a few times too.
