Join these characters on a crazy vacation in ‘Hotel Transylvania 3’
I really liked Hotel Transylvania. It had a stellar cast, told an original story and put a new spin on many well known characters. It also had beautiful original songs and was full of breath taking animation. Hotel Transylvania 2 was good but not as amazing as the first film. When I heard Hotel Transylvania 3 was coming out, I was shocked and in no rush to see it. Yet when I heard it was coming to Blu-Ray I decided to give it a chance. It surprised me in a few ways. I was able to get a review copy and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Hotel Transylvania 3 here:
Mavis surprises Dracula with a family voyage on a luxury, haunted monster cruise ship. Of course, the rest of the Drac Pack has to tag along, and that’s when things get a little…batty. The monsters are having a great time, indulging in all of the shipboard fun the cruise has to offer, from monster volleyball to colossus-sized buffets and exotic excursions, but then the unexpected happens when Drac falls for the ship’s mysterious (and dangerous) human captain Ericka.
Hotel Transylvania 3 was better than I expected it to be. It was predictable at parts, but there were a few surprises I didn’t see coming. The animation is amazing just like the previous films, and the songs were pretty good too. There was only one moment that got too silly for me, and that was towards the end. The DJ battle didn’t make a ton of sense, and it didn’t really fit too well into the story.
‘Behind the Screams’ did a great job introducing the voices behind the returning characters and some of the new additions as well. It also told a bit about the characters and how much fun the cast had playing them. ‘Johnny’s Home Movies’ did a great job recapping the previous two films, and was made in a way that was a tad silly but a joy to watch. There were also two hilarious mini movies. If you want to learn more about Hotel Transylvania 3 click on this website.
