‘Luke Cage’ is dealing with a lot in season 2
I was hesitant when I heard that Netflix was making a show about Luke Cage. Yet it was better than I expected it to be. It has action, drama, dangerous villains, wonderful characters and did a splendid job bringing this character to the small screen. Season one was very popular, so it was not too surprising when a second season was announced. It pits this hero against a new villain who will be very tough to take down. I was able to watch screeners of this season and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Luke Cage season 2 here:
After clearing his name, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem
with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so well known has only increased the pressure he
feels to protect the community. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.
I really enjoyed watching Luke Cage season 2. He is dealing with his newfound popularity as best as he can, but it isn’t always an asset for him. After The Defenders, he wants nothing more than to try and live a normal life. When someone comes from his past to make amends, he only feels anger towards them. It is a constant problem for him, and takes work to try and get it under control. An ally or two do help with it as the season moved forward. Bushmaster is unlike anyone he has ever faced before, and for once he is unsure how to stop him. Meanwhile there is another enemy only getting stronger, and trying to bring them down for good turns out to be quite difficult. If you liked season one, then you won’t want to miss this one.
Luke Cage season 2 is streaming now on Netflix. You can follow this show on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
