The musical sequel ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ is coming to Blu-Ray

I have a big fan of Mary Poppins. It is a story that has lovable characters, an amazing soundtrack and is just a classic movie. Saving Mr.Banks did a great job telling the tale of how this film was made. Like many fans when I heard about Mary Poppins Returns I wasn’t sure it was a good idea. But it turned out to be a pretty good sequel. Now it is coming out on Blu-Ray. I was able to get a review copy and here is what I thought of it.

The magic continues in Disney’s classic as Mary Poppins helps the Banks family remember the joy of being a child. Together with her friend Jack the lamplighter, fun is brought back to the streets of London in celebration that everything is possible…even the impossible.

I enjoyed watching Mary Poppins Returns again. This was a bit of a darker tale than the first one, but there was plenty of happy songs along the way. The same magic and wonder from the original can be found here looking better and brighter than ever. ‘The Practically Perfect Making of Mary Poppins Returns’ goes deep into the process of bringing this film to life and all the work put in to make sure it was done right. ‘Back to Cherry Tree Lane: Dick Van Dyke Returns’ had some of the cast talking about how excited they were that he was in this movie and also had him marvel at the wonder they put into the sets in this sequel.
